The Allston Brighton Health Collaborative is a collaboration of organizations devoted to working together to promote and improve the health and wellbeing of the communities of Allston and Brighton. We achieve this by working in partnership and by engaging the residents of Allston and Brighton in order to identify the needs of the community and to create programming to address those needs. Our Transportation Committee is a group of neighborhood residents and local organizations working together to improve mobility in Allston-Brighton.
The Boston Cyclists Union is working to transform the streets of greater Boston into equitable and inviting people-centered spaces affording access and connection for every body. We accomplish this through organizing, advocacy, public actions, and holding city and state agencies accountable to build out the network of safe, protected bike infrastructure.
Cambridge Bicycle Safety is working to make streets safer and more enjoyable for people of all ages and abilities in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
For individuals and civic and business leaders committed to sustainability, Green Streets Initiative is the volunteer organization that celebrates car-light transportation with concrete, inclusive and engaging programs which inspire healthy lifestyles and thriving communities. We are best known for creating Greater Boston's Walk/Ride Days, and the annual Walk/Ride Day Corporate Challenge.
ITDP is a global organization at the forefront of innovation, using technical expertise, direct advocacy, and policy guidance to mitigate the impacts of climate change, improve air quality, and support prosperous, sustainable, and equitable cities. We work in all types of cities, including Boston, on five continents to design and implement transport and urban development systems and policy solutions that make cities more viable, fair, and livable.
LivableStreets Alliance is an advocacy organization that enables people to think differently and demand a transportation system that balances transit, walking, and biking with automobiles. LivableStreets promotes safe, convenient, and affordable transportation in urban Boston making our community more connected and more livable for everyone.
The Massachusetts Bicycle Coalition (MassBike) promotes a bicycle-friendly environment and encourages bicycling for fun, fitness and transportation.
Safe Roads Alliance was formed in 2006 as a not-for-profit organization dedicated to to saving lives through better driving. Safe Roads provides educational services to all drivers on different aspects of driving safety, including: issues confronting teen drivers, seat belt usage, and Distracted Driving.
The Sierra Club Massachusetts Chapter is a grassroots environmental organization. In addition to protecting every person's right to get outdoors and access the healing power of nature, the Sierra Club works to promote clean energy, safeguard the health of our communities, protect wildlife, and preserve our remaining wild places through grassroots activism, public education, lobbying, and legal action.
TransitMatters is dedicated to improving transit in and around Boston by offering new perspectives, uniting transit advocates, educating riders and promoting a level of critical analysis normally absent from other media. We advocate for plans and policies that promote convenient and effective transportation for everyone.
Transportation for Massachusetts is a diverse coalition of 58 organizations working together to create safe, convenient, and affordable transportation for everyone. We advocate for transportation funds to be spent fairly and responsibly, for transportation decisions that are transparent and accountable, and to ensure that our transportation network has sufficient resources to meet tomorrow's needs all throughout the commonwealth.
