On April 4th, 2016, an unidentified man was hit and seriously injured by a person driving an Uber. Police have reported the victim stepped out from between parked cars and was struck. The Vision Zero Task Force visited the crash location on April 14th to make recommendations for any short and long term changes to the area that could improve safety.

Recommendations
Short term:
- Install speed board and set traffic signals for 25mph as has been done on Beacon Street
Longer term:
- Consider mid-block crosswalk w/ RRFB or HAWK signal near Remy's / Baseball Tavern; many new residential buildings in area & long blocks with increased pedestrian activity require more safe crossings of this wide road
- Road diet to narrow road and slow vehicles while allowing for safer crossings and turn movements
- Protected bicycle lanes
