On December 3rd, 2015, a 52-year-old BU Medical Campus Employee was hit and killed at the intersection of Commonwealth Ave and Agganis Way near the Pleasant Street MBTA Green Line Station. The Vision Zero Task Force visited the crash location on December 21st to make recommendations for any short and long term changes to the area that could improve safety.

Recommendations
Short term:
- Re-stripe crosswalk from outbound MBTA platform to corner of Comm Ave/Agganis Way.
- Shorten crossing distance by creating a bump out with flexposts on non-MBTA platform side of Commonwealth Ave.
Longer term:
- Comm Ave is due for reconstruction as part of Commonwealth Ave Phase 2A Project.
